I just read an article by Liz Wolgemuth with the name: “How the Lowest Paid Workers Get Ripped Off” (click here to read). She states that the lowest paid workers in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York get ripped off by not receiving all the money they earned. I know this is wrong, because workers get ripped off everywhere, not only in big cities, but also in suburbs.
My friend used to work at Burger King and they constantly underpaid him, so he just quit. Then he got a job at Walgreen’s and the manager made him work half an hour off the clock to make the store look neat. What can you do about this when you really need the job? I think that so many businesses have no idea about ethical behavior nowadays, because they treat the whole general public like crap. They take our taxes to bonus each other, they underpay the poorest workers (who usually have the hardest job), and then they try to kill us with their genetically engineered food.
I have no idea how regular people can fight back against that and the situation will probably get a lot worse since the big companies keep on getting more money and more power. I am absolutely pro-market and the invisible hand, because the government should not control the economy and businesses. The problem is that these businesses stick their nose too often into the government and try to control it with their fancy corruption and their arrogant lobbyists. Unions don’t even help anymore, because they are just collecting money and waiting for “jobs” to come back that are long gone.
How are people that earn $7 an hour but get paid $5 supposed to live when prices are rising? This story just shows that minimum wage is not helping, because tricky businesses will find other ways to get their money back. I hope they will uncover the truth and that the businesses will have to pay all the money back and huge fines on top of that. Maybe they should just take the entrepreneurs license away for doing bad business and give the facilities and equipment to somebody who is able to do business in a good way.
If I would steal $20,000 from a person, I would go to a nasty jail for a long time, but these people steal $20,000 (for example) from each worker during their lifetime of working for a company and they get promoted… Welcome in hell, America.

Chris Brown visits Larry King Live – 3 things that went wrong
1. His outfit
Dressing up like an ice-cream man is not going to make you popular among the kids, Chris! His outfit just took out all the seriousness of the conversation and most of the time I was not even able to concentrate on what he was saying, because the bright colors hurt my eyes. For somebody who wants his career back as a singer, he needs to dress like one.
2. His mom
Why was his mom there with him??? It’s not his first day in kindergarten and her comments about him “never being violent” were just weird. Isn’t that what the parents always say after their child, who was never violent, goes to school and kills twenty people? I think if he is really taking responsibility for his actions, and if he wants to be taken as a serious grown-up man, then taking your mommy with you everywhere is just not the way to go.
3. The message
Foreign aid causes debt???
Everybody knows that we are in a recession, even babies have been talking about it on TV, and the United States is facing a huge amount of debt. When you tell somebody about the huge debt, they just yell at you and tell you: "It's because of all these freaking foreigners we help all the time with our money!!!" Actually that is not true, because the United States does not help out that much, foreign aid equals to only a small percentage of the total economy. Usually they "help out" by buying food from farmers noone else wants, in order for farmers to stay in business. That food is then shipped to places where there was either a natural disaster or where regular everyday starving is going on. What this means is that foreign aid does not cause debt, but more the truly American addiction to spend more than we have. So please, stop blaming all the countries receiving your help, because it's not their fault.
How to survive your 20's
I know, I know, surviving your 20’s is very hard, especially when you live in a bad neighborhood. Some of you probably won’t believe it is possible, but I guarantee that by following a couple of these simple tips you will be able to reach the thirty birthday candles on your cake that you desire so much.
1. Hide from your parents
Parents are very dangerous for people in their 20’s, because their aggressive behavior is too unpredictable for a healthy human mind. One day they will whine about their age and make it look like it’s your fault they got old because you were the one growing up to quick. Another day they politely ask you to give them the child support money back that they paid for you, while holding a dangerous looking knife in their hand. The simple trick is to just stay away from them, because you never know what they are up to.
2. Learn how to grocery shop
This is extremely important for survival, and it is probably harder to accomplish than the tasks from our ancestors- hunting and gathering. The modern grocery store contains so many items that could easily kill you- Twinkies, sugar, peanuts… that you have to watch out what you put into the magic cart on wheels.
3. Read college textbooks without going to college
Some of you probably think that reading college textbooks without going to college is a waste of time, probably because you don’t see the benefits of it. First of all a lot of college teachers got their knowledge from the books and never really worked in a professional environment. Second of all the college charges a whole bunch of money for teachers to tell you what is in the book, and most of them still just talk about their personal life instead. So by reading college textbooks you get a free college education without paying for it. Some might say: but aren’t textbooks expensive? Not when you buy the old edition, which is even better, because than it is more like you took the class three years ago.
4. Develop a talent, such as scaring children
Every person has some type of talent hidden under their surface and finding it is essential in order to survive the boredom you will have when you are retired, that’s why it’s important to start looking now for it. Scaring children would be great for Halloween and throwing cereal at the wall with talent will make you popular at parties.
5. Limit your credit cards
Unless you want to swim in a pool of debt, because you had to have the $1000 sunglasses, limit your credit cards. This might not help you survive physically, besides that you won’t have to carry around a huge bag of debt, but also financially.
Have fun surviving your 20’s!
